Husk of Opulent Dreams, DEF% or ER/DEF%/DEF%. ER before DEF; prioritize character level and Burst.
Weapons and conditions
Craftable Footprint of the Rainbow supplies DEF if Energy is covered. Favonius Lance needs enough CRIT despite few hits.
Practical progression
Count the Normals actually buffed within the intended window. Compare a DEF polearm with an Energy option without changing that sequence. In the planner, raise character ascension and Burst; do not automatically apply this support to Charged or Plunge-focused attackers. Budget EXP and level-up Mora separately.
